Costa Ricans have been enjoying this beer since 1924. Imperial is created from a balanced formula combining malts, grains and hops, without a pronounced overtone in its taste. It is what is known as a “centralized” beer. Adapted to a warm and spring-like climate, Imperial is Florida’s most popular and widely accepted beer, both nationally and internationally, and has thus become the favorite beer of Costa Rica.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Solid cornish aroma, dry and slight grassy. Grassy flavoured to light acidic cornish. Bitter and grassy flavoured finish.

A very light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is an unpleasant grassy one with some metal notes - and so is the flavor, leading to a dry metallic end. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

[email protected] IX. Yellowish golden colour, small whie head. Aroma is grains, some mild rubber as well as some herbal notes. Flavour is very similar. Not all too attacking and actually quite ok.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a pale pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Light aroma of corn. Medium body, notes of brewing cereal and a light tartness. Tiny wee bitterness in the finish. A very typical New World Pale Lager. 210606

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2014 Bottled in Monteverde. Pale yellow, coarse head. Aroma of an empty can with conserved peas. Sweetish, empty and metallic. Tastes like a used garbage can, and that is coincidencially also where I think this beer belongs.
