Bottled in Monteverde. Clest yellow, mid sized head. Aroma of corn and sugar. Sweet with light body and hard mouthfeel. Fruity with some boiled vegetables. Low bitterness. Sub standard industrial lager. mcberko (18390) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2015
Can, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out straw and cereal notes. Flavour is along the same lines - no complexity but leaves a residual sweetness. Meh - not beer intriguing. brokensail (16599) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 6, 2015
Can @ RBSG 2015. Thanks, Craig! My first Costa Rica rating. Clear golden pour with a big white head. Slightly soapy and has a strong cereal grain component. A bit of apple juice, some corn flakes, and bit of seltzer. Kind of your typical bland, light lager with some cereal sweetness. Drinks okay, actually. A yellow blonde lager with a thick collapsing frothy white head. In aroma, grassy adjunct malt with mineral notes, light sulfur. In mouth, a rather boring crisp malt with mineral notes, watery and metallic. Can from Auto Mercado San Jose. deyholla (11900) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 23, 2016
Can, thanks for sharing! Pours a clear light yellow with visible carbonation and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is mild but has notes of straw and corn. Flavor is mild as well with a bit of straw and some sweetness in the finish.

Can. Pale mostly clear pour. Mild lager with some corn notes. Not poorly made for the style. phaleslu (10454) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 8, 2009
12 oz. can purchased in Jaco, Costa Rica. Not much in the way of aroma or flavor. Carbonation plays a large role. Strangely lives up to its name with metallic flavor and mouthfeel. Can’t say it did much either way to expectations, as Costa Rica isn’t known for its beer. douglas88 (9501) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 20, 2015
Can thanks to Craig. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A big sweet grainy nose. The flavor is big sweet fruity smooth malts. 3fourths (9351) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 11, 2012
can. clear pale yellow. mild ammonia and pee and corn syrup nose is sweet. dusty and powdery and chemical-like but all mild. has a pale neutral flavor. watery. typical. solidfunk (9186) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Better than the other imperial and most Costa Rican beers. Granted this was like my eighth trashy lager of the night and I wasn’t in the position to be a good judge of beer, but this seemed better than the rest.
