Dark brown, beige head, with good retention, roasty aroma, couldn’t find any hops in there. Roasty flavor, light body, 5 degree alcohol. More a schwarzbier than a bock, very drinkable, but not my style at all. Oakes (18557) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 1, 2013
Medium chestnut brown. Thin but rich head, some colour as a Guinness head. The aroma has toast, caramel, toffee and a bunch of fruit. The taste is thinner, like gutted malts...a let down. This needs some more residual sugars to bring everything into balance.
