UPDATED: FEB 21, 2010 Bottle at The Rake with Chriso from the stuff they were selling off cheap. Attractive chestnut colour. Bit of cardboard on aroma. Some ok malts. Bottle at the Market Porter, Southwark, 27 January 2010 - from the cheapie shelf. Decent copper colour. Robust white head. Doughy malt aroma. Sweet fruity malt in the flavour. Better on the palate than on the nose. Not too bad.

Bottle. Brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is mainly malty.. Overall a fairly straight-forward beer. Good not great

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse brown color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel with some nutty notes. Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, old stabel, old malt - corn. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.

Dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma moderate malty (caramel, roasted, nuts). Flavor moderate sweet, light bitter. Light body. OK.
