Green Bottle. Poured clear little white head. Aroma not to nice kind of skunky, lots of yeast. Taste yeast and malts. It’s refreshing but with a bitter end appropriated for Venezuelan Weather.

Es una buena cerveza pilsen, en comparación con las cervezas pilsen industriales venezolanas como la Polar o la Regional. Tiene un sabor mucho mas fuerte que las pilsen tradicionales, bastante espumosa y con mucho CO2.

I’ve had this a couple of times visiting colonia tovar. Supposedly made with the 1516 law. Almost twice as expensive as polar or regional beers. Last time I found it astringent, pretty good malt aroma but the aftertaste was not good.

Swampy skunk cabbage aroma. Weak golden body. Flavour of fake hazelnut and weird smoke. Weak palate. This is not good stuff.

Cervecería más vieja de Venezuela producto de calidad. Es perceptible el nivel de DMS. Excelente el uso de los lupulos en esta cerveza parece una típica pilsner checa.

25cl bottle via a friend. Gushed slightly. Clear golden pour. Refreshing on a hot day.

Fruity nice aroma mixed with some fresh hops. However the taste is not in the same leage. Lots of sparkle but low head retention. By far the best beer produced in Venezuela but found in few places as it is not a high production plant.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2009 Aroma: as of hops, oxide finish. Appearance: attractive rough-gold color. Medium to light cream-colored head. Most of it disappears within the first 5 min, but the rest remains until the end. Flavor: clear taste of pellet hops. Evident taste of pure malt, no starch additives which gives it decent after taste. Bitter-sweet, more bitter than sweet. Clear "raw taste" of a micro brew. Palate: small fizz for a Caribbean Pilsner. Overall: a very decent micro brew Pilsner. The only TRUE beer in Venezuela.

When was launched on the market in the mid 90’s, this was a kind of weissbier wannabe. Not bad at all to be from the Caribbean. Now is a kind of premium beer. Not bad, refreshing and with good taste.

Appearance: clear yellow color, transparent. Little and withy head. Aroma: like a poor and common commercial lager. Malty, clear, medium hoppyness. Bitter-fruitiness like of grapefruits. Flavor: pale malty; medium hoppyness, but as of pellet. Fruits reminiscences of grapefruits and quince. Metallic finish. Palate: light body, watery texture. Medium carbonation. Refreshing… just that. Thanks to <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/View-User-49371.htm&g and your friends of the ACCCA for to allow me tasted this beer with them.
