Hans Trapp used to punish kids around Christmas, but has decided this year to make some black magic with Santa Claus instead. The black magic comes in the form of this porter, which has been dosed with hazelnut and vanilla. This porter is well-suited to dessert, or alone.

Bottle, [email protected], Middelfart. Gusher. Pours deep opaque black with a large, staying, creamy beige head. Aroma has sharp hazelnuts, popcorn, roasted malts, wet wood, vanilla. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has much vanilla sweetness, harsh cocoa like notes, sweetish fat hazelnut (not Nutella). Softly vinious, very dry finish. Quite powerful, quite different, quite nice.

33 cl. bottle at home. High creamy and long lasting light brown head. The body is indeed black. Sweet roasted malt caramel nuts vanilla aroma. Powerful roasted malt liquorice coffee caramel flavor with a touch of vanilla and a fair amount of hops bitterness, smooth and pleasant. Heavily carbonated so my desk was flooded. Long sweet finish. Alcohol nicely hidden.

Habanero (4847) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2017
Bottled. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of slightly toasted malt, chocolate, some vanilla and nutty notes. Sweet flavor that ends up being more dry and slightly bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Porter. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Strange: Yes. Good: Yes.
Popcorn…hmmmm nah I dropp that. My ratings are usually not that fancy. But when I read that even larsga says so. Then even I dear to write it. Also peanuttbutter, cocoa, vanilla and chocolate in a really nice and tasty mix. The Cervisiam bhoyz have done it again. Solid stuff. Creamy and easy to drink, and well masked alcohol.
[Bottle from Vinmonopolet Oslo City (shopping mall) in Oslo, Norway]

Black with a large brown head - Roasted malt aroma - Roasted malt body with some vanilla notes there as well - The roasted malt goes into the finish with bitterness that lasts and goes dry in the end - This was nice

07.01.2017, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Big light brown slightly fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is kind of roasted buttery, coconut, roasted nuts, oatmeal, cookies, milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla, dark malts, hay, minerals. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish buttery, coconut, grass, vanilla, oatmeal, roasted nuts, cookies, chocolate, dark sugar, dark malts, cinnamon, caramel. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Nice one. I will definitely try aging this for a year or 3...
