Dark brown slightly red pour with very little head. Distinct hops scent that seems to be distinct to Cest what. Very pleasant. Warm. Hoppy. A touch herby bit not overly. Again very easy to drink. So far really enjoying these Cest what brew.
Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #25. Draught pint at C’est What in Toronto, July 2008. Clear dark caramel-red tinged body with just a bit of head...somewhat faint sweetish, lightly grainy, faintly soapy aroma (soap mostly fades with some minutes)...moderately yeasty, grainy body with expected caraway-pumpernickel rye notes...sweet, not terribly spicy, a bit syrupy...not bad, not memorable, glad I wrote this note to memorialize it for a few more moments over the lifetime of my consciousness. ads135 (5207) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - APR 13, 2013
Not a bad rye, though I’m not sure what the caraway seed.is supposed to taste like. A bit peppery, some caramel. Amber colored. fiulijn (21506) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 14, 2012

Amber color, with creamy head. The arma is simple, the flavor is creamy, with caramel and light smoke too. There is a light impression of sulfur or goat cheese.
Simple but pleasant.
Smells like nothing almost. A little malt maybe. There’s some bitter rye taste on the after but minimal body and character. Pours a clear red with some lacing.

AGAquino (704) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 20, 2012
From notes, at Cest What. Pours amber brown with medium head. Aroma is slightly sour with noticeable rye. Decent grainy aromas. DuffMan (10751) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 1, 2012
On tap @ C’est What in Toronto. Dark copper amber, not much head. Aroma is sweet toffee with vaguely fruity nuances. Palate delivers the expected flavours with a kiss of grassy hops in the finish. The rye isn’t super obvious here, but then again my perceptions are probably pretty muted at this point given that it’s past 1am.... cyrenaica (1159) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 24, 2012

I tried this beer on February 20, 2012 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO outlet in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a very dark brown, almost black colour (think coca-cola) with a short-lived brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, plums, and coffee. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is very malty, sweet, and very enjoyable. I liked this beer.
On tap at C’est What. Pours a clear orange-amber colour with small white head. Aroma is modest grainy rye. Flavour also has somewhat light rye with a touch of caramel malt. Light bitterness in finish. Ok, but a little dull.
