2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very dark black pour. Light tan head. Strong raisin scent. Malts chocolate and more. Very complex nose. I expected thick and rich and this is neither. Watery but very favourful. Raisin malt dark bitter chocolate and more. It’s a bit much, like its trying too hard.
Tap at C’est What. Dark brown with extremely thick creamy head, I mean I have to go really close to see any texture at all, the head’s just so smooth. Nose and flavour of liquid chocolate, oranges, caramel, toffee... Wow, nice. Bitterish finish with orange notes. Dry on the palate, soft but somewhat grainy. Lightish with really mellow carbonation. Lovely stuff, I really enjoyed this. pictoman (1211) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 18, 2015
Poured from nitro tap. Black with creamy light beige head. Milky lactose, light chocolate, subtle orange. Fairly light bodied. pushkinwow (2895) - Ottawa, CANADA - JAN 24, 2014
On tap at C’est What. Found this one to be quite sweet with hazelnut, chocolate, and creme brule, moderate carbonation and mild+ body, little sticky on the finish. ads135 (5000) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - APR 13, 2013
This is pretty good, especially considering the choice of microbrews in Toronto. This is a rich beer, lots of raisin, chocolate, orange, and caramel. A bit medicinal, but otherwise very good. LilBeerDoctor (4193) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 24, 2012
On tap at C’est What? Pours a dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt. Flavor of mostly chocolate malt and maybe some medicinal sweet notes. I don’t get any of the orange. Palate was a little thin. Overall it was a decent chocolate beer, but slightly below my expectations.

Black color, with small head. The arm aof roasted malts is mild and a bit biscuity. The flavor is also biscuity, with some dark chocolate;it’s quite dry and rather weak; light vanilla impression.
Not bad, but it’s like having a chocolate muffin from Starbucks; maybe with some more body it would be better.
Smells nutty, slightly oaky. It pours black with creamy small head. The orange in taste is very subtle, this seems more lie a stout than the vegetarian category. Decent. Can’t detect these spices the menu talks about though. herrbrown1974 (427) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 28, 2012
On tap at C’est What?. Black pour, lasting tan head. Nitro. Dark chocolate aroma, black coffee, fairly sweet. Dark Toblerone. Little bit watery. Balance is good and flavours are there. If there’s orange in here, I didn’t quite get it, but I also didn’t mind. It was good on it’s own. Nice thick basic chocolate stout, more than a "spice/herb/vegetable". rosenbergh (11793) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 20, 2011
