Arrives from the tap with a pale tan colored head that sits on top of a clear gold colored beer. The aroma has a huge hippy hit of tropical fruit: lychee, guava, kumquat zest, soft pine notes, and no real noticeable malt, just enough to carry the hop character.
The beer has a smooth bitterness that is soft for an IPA. The finish has a lingering herbal note that has a bit of pine sap, and some woody menthol to it. Ripe kumquat, soft guava, floral lychee, and ripe tangelo zest all play a prominent role here. The body is nice and light, quite quaffable, but with a soft heft / viscosity that helps to carry the dominant hop character. The malt clearly plays a supporting role here, perhaps a touch of honey leaning pale malt sweetness and a bit of cracker like pale grain character.
A very tasty, fresh IPA, that I am quite enjoying.
Cask at GBBF 2012. Poured a lightly hazy golden colour, with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, tinned fruit and spruce. Tangy oranges in the flavour, with bready malt and pineapples. Finish was lingering resin, flowery hop and marmalade. BeerdedDave (1853) - Beckley, USA - AUG 13, 2014

Pours a hazy yellow-brownish color rather than an orange haze I associate with this style. Hoppy, citrusy nose and a smooth well-balanced palate of mango. Overall, a more delicate style of IPA but very enjoyable.
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a gold with a slight orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of of grapefruit with a touch of pine and a sweet grain backbone. Flavor is more grapefruit and citrus with a light grain backbone.
