Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear light amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a grass and bread combination with a grain backbone. Flavor begins with grass and sweet citrus that support a note of bread in the finish. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 3, 2013
Tap @ Chama River. Pours a clear, rust orange appearance with a tan head. Kind of bland, herbal, caramel aroma. Quite spicy flavor, almost tastes like they dumped black pepper in. Slightly piney, light citrusy, toasty flavor. Not horrible but who the fuck poured the pepper shaker in the beer? MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - NOV 20, 2012
On tap 4 oz. sampler at Chama River restaurant in Albuquerque, NM. Clear, red-orange copper with off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel, spice and dry hops. Taste of caramel, floral hops, bread and spice with a metallic hint in the finish. Light/medium body and low/medium carbonation. Timid aromas, flavors and body detract from what is otherwise a well-balanced ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone dnstone (3485) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Amber in color (obviously) with a bit of white head. Sweet malt aroma and taste with light red apple peel and hop hints. Oakes (18522) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 20, 2011
Golden amber. Toasty, sweet caramel notes. Low hop rate. Faint aroma. OK, if you’ve had one amber you’ve had this one, too.

Draft @ brewpub. Clear amber with nice lacing. Smells balanced between caramel malts and hops. Pretty nice American amber, actually. DiarmaidBHK (5667) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 28, 2011
Draft at brewpub. I find amber ales to be a boring style and this one is no exception. Pours brown but that’s the highlight. Not much on the tongue or nose. What a snooze! decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - AUG 15, 2011
Amber with creamy off white head and lace. Light caramel malt aroma. Light caramel, perfumy hops, and bread. Water and thin with aggressive carbonation. LilBeerDoctor (4134) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 30, 2011
