Tap @ Chama River. Pours a dark amber appearance with a tan head. Slightly spicy, caramel, light milk chocolate, spicy, lightly piney hoppy aroma. Hmmm, spicy, milk chocolate, a bit nutty, caramel, herbal flavor. Kind if interesting and fairly tasty.

Draft at brewpub. Pours brown with very little lacing. Pronounced caramel malt on the nose but subdued on the tongue although this one seems to linger somewhat.

LilBeerDoctor (4134) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 13, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear brown with a white head. Aroma of roasted and sweet malt. Flavor is reminiscent of a porter with lots of roasted/charred malt and some sweet malt but the palate is more of a brown ale vs. porter. Overall a tasty brown ale, one of the better ones. 7/4/7/4/14 [3.6/5]

2.8
