COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This IPA/Rye hybrid begins with a citrusy, earthy, slightly spicy hop nose. Soon the playfully assertive Cascade and Chinook hops flex their bittering muscles for balance and a clean finish to this medium-bodied ale.

Dogbrick (13389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 26, 2012
Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 02/23/2012. This beer is a slightly hazy yellow-amber color with a medium fizzy white head that burns away steadily to a film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, malt and a bit of spice. Light body with flavors of floral hops, sweet malt and a touch of spice. The finish is mildly hoppy with a short earthy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Very flavorful brew for 5.73% ABV. Cloudy amber color with medium head. Hop bitterness dominates both aroma and taste. Modest head.

Beautiful head with an evident chill haze after pour. Very hopy with a surprisingly evident citrus bite. Aftertaste resonates of watered down and somewhat astringent taste.

hombrepalo (1971) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 4, 2012
On tat at Elwoods Linclowood. Seemed old as the hops seemed to be dead. Pours a clear rusty amber with a medium sized off white head. Aroma of tangy malt, hops and lemon tea. Taste is much the same as the aroma with a spice

A hazed amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a nice smooth rye bread with floral hops, very nicely done. In mouth, a smooth nutty malt with piney hops, menthol notes, oily, nice and smooth. Bottle at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, Jan 21 2012.

Onslow (1512) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - OCT 31, 2011
Pour from a 12 oz b ottle. Orange amber brew with off white head. Nice aroma of malt, citrus and pine hops. Taste has a nice malt / rye profile with a fine and complex hoppiness kicking in at the end of the swallow. Average palate. Not an extreme IPA but an extremely tasty one.

Sammy (12491) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 10, 2011
Bottle fresh from Sprecher brewery. Floral hops, golden yellow body with a generous retained white creamy head. Average mouthfeel, with some astringency, but still a good drinker because of the edge and hop profile. Really bitter as the IBU 73 shows. Must try for hopheads and anyone a fan of the bitter or sour camp.
