Aromas of coffee, chocolate, and subtle hops. Black with ruby highlights, khaki head with medium retention. Bitter, lightly sweet, roasted coffee and chocolate flavors. Medium-full bodied, lively carbonation, roasty, chocolatey finish with lasting bitterness and roast. It’s nice to have a good, homemade porter minutes from my home.
On tap at Sedona. Black. Smells of roasted coffee. Taste is iced coffee, dirt, roasted malt, light burnt flavor. Tasty.

Draft at Taphouse/Queensway. Ashy and toasty in a nice way, but also a bit thin. Comes with a sweet anise aroma, and a little bit of bitter, baking chocolate in the funky finish. (#5173, 7/21/2013) Velkyal (321) - Gordonsville, Virginia, USA - NOV 25, 2012
On tap at the brewery. Pours as black as coal, topped with a light tan head. The nose is a touch of coffee, some graininess and a bit of general spiciness. Taste wise, chocolate, nutty, a slightly roasty edge. Medium bodied and quite moreish. Good stuff! Drake (13649) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 23, 2012
