ThaiBev stopped production of Archa, Chang Beer, Chang Draught, and Chang Export in 2015. A new product, Chang Classic, was launched, with production shared between ThaiBev’s three breweries. The recipe was changed to include rice, previously only used in the domestic 6.4% version. It is sold as 5.5% abv in some markets.
"With its attractive taste and a price that appealed to consumers at all levels, the response and success of Chang marked a new era and turned a new page for the Thai beer industry. In 1998 Beer Chang was awarded the “Gold Medallion” at the International Beer Competition in Australia in the category of “Lager, Unlimited Degree”.

Bottle in Pai, Thailand. Golden color, white head. Pretty common lager, refreshing but not special

Flesje thuis gedronken.

500ml. In a Jug pint. I thought and assumed I'd rated this beer. Rich likes Thai lady-boys. This Thai beer isn't too bad, and I appreciate a badly made Asian lager moore than most nerds here as my higher than average rates for subcontinent piss lager would suggest..I think in retrospect , this Thai lager would be decent drinking if I were actually in humid Thailand where fermented goat water would be refreshing. Or watching some Thai kickboxing..u know, when you want soulless beer you don't think about consciously. Flavours of grain, bready malts, cardboard ,pennies, shitty hops. Some definite skunk from the green bottle.
