This one produced up a pale gold with evident chill haze and filled with fine carbonation. Head holds for all of a minute but it may have just been the glass at the hotel. Sweet and tangy pear drops and caramelised lemon, whole grain cereal and an odd musty note make up the aroma. Gassy; heavy on the CO2 so very much needs a coupla swirls to rid the annoyance. Malt base then floral hops with a quenching bitterness and clean, crisp finish. Straightline and good for a Thai lager. Unobtrusive, refreshing and easy drinking. Perfect location beer! Poured from a can into a glass while in Thailand.
Aroma has a light sweet graininess to it. Light floral hop aroma with a hint of fruitiness. Clean without diacetyl or sulfur.
Pours a very clear, pale golden yellow with a moderately large, fluffy white head that quickly recedes but a continual stream of bubbles replenishes it on the edges. Light lacing and no legs.
Flavor is similar to the aroma with a light sweet grainy character. Light floral hop character with a hint of fruitiness and a light grassy note. Low bitterness. Fairly crisp and dry.
Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall another decent Thai light lager, but nothing to seek out or write home about. It's nice that there isn't an adjunct character, but the malt character is pretty light. Hops are average but pretty muted by my standards. Clean without diacetyl or sulfur.

(bottle - restaurant in Chiang Mai) pale amber gold with white head. Malt aroma. Fuller bodied than other Chang beers -- fuller malt flavor. This will be my go-to beer in Thailand. HermanW (1069) - Coevorden, NETHERLANDS - DEC 9, 2012
0,3 liter fles in Thailand. Redelijk lekker bier. Chang betekent olifant. Het is echt bier van Thailand.

Sampled in a can from a supermarket in Bangkok. Actually a pretty good brew. The malts are nice and it isnt too carbonated. A really refreshing brew in the hot climate. stevoj (5438) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 6, 2014
Normal golden lager color, a white head with some retention. Smell is mainly grassy hops and some grain. Taste is grain and hops.Bland but not awful. Decent carbonation. Overall a decent lager, goes well with Thai food. Go figure.... fobia405 (1) - BELGIUM - JUL 25, 2014 does not count
An enjoyable Lager especially with the spicy food available in Thailand. It lacks a more unique flavor and aroma and sometimes comes across a bit blend. Bought the beer in a large bottle from a local shop. Beers in Thailand are usually served just above freezing point and that is definitely how this one should be enjoyed. Extra note: don’t forget to tell Thai staff in local pubs NOT to add Ice to your Beer (as seems to be the custom in Thailand) Ungstrup (38248) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 26, 2012
Can. A yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of grain and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of herbs, straw, and grain, leading to a bitter finish.
