ThaiBev stopped production of Archa, Chang Beer, Chang Draught, Chang Light, and Chang Export in 2015. A new product, Chang Classic, was launched, with production shared between ThaiBevs three breweries. The recipe of Chang Classic includes rice, previously only used in the domestic 6.4% version of Chang Beer.
It is not known if Chang Export was ever a different beer to the 5% abv Chang Beer and Chang Draught or simply a re-badge.

Passt scho.

A note for the stats only. Very hard to pick the difference b/w this and the standard release. Holiday beer and nothing more.

Big bottle bought in Bangkok. Poured a clear light yellow. Aroma of weak malts and straw. Taste was smooth enough. Not to strong or exciting but a decent lager.

An enjoyable Lager especially with the spicy food available in Thailand. It lacks a more unique flavor and aroma and sometimes comes across a bit blend. Bought the beer in a large bottle from a local shop. Beers in Thailand are usually served just above freezing point and that is definitely how this one should be enjoyed. Extra note: dont forget to tell Thai staff in local pubs NOT to add Ice to your Beer (as seems to be the custom in Thailand)

Pale golden in colour with a very thin pure white head. Aroma of pale malt, metal and a hint of very light citrus. Light-bodied; Small amount of rice and metal up front with largely a malty and slightly sweet finish with nothing else left to the imagination. Aftertaste shows some bitterness and a bit of a metallic twang, but a fairly light and drinkable beer compared to some of these other thai lagers. I sampled this 620 mL bottle purchased from Green Market in Karon Beach, Phuket, Thailand on 30-June-2014 for THB50,00 sampled a few minutes later in my hotel room here in Phuket.

Random store, Bangkok.
Pale golden, clear appearance with a small white head. Aroma and flavor of malt and grass, some sweet corn. Empty, fizzy body with a grassy aftertaste. Worst than the normal one.

Can from a night shop in Bangkok. Got to drink "something" during the curfew :-) Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a short lived frothy white head and lots of CO2. The aroma is earthy malt. The flavour is light bitter with a watery malt light hop palate. Light bodied with frothy carbonation. Im amazed that a brewery of this size can produce such watered down, flavourless rubbish. Its not hard to produce something with flavour, so why not do it? Id like t think that the days are numbered for beers like this. Surely when people taste something better they will stop buying it ??
