Aroma: sweet toffee bready malt, rich apricotl.
Taste: sweet caramel, dark ripe apricot, and a nutty or pit note.
Great flavor. Sweet, but not cloying The sourness is not as harsh as most lambics, which is nice, but it could use a little more.

Early amateur rating warning! A real eye opener, astonishingly fruity and sharp. Refreshing.
A: The pour is a straw color with a short lived white head.
S: Sweet and sugary with light apricots and some slight vegetable aroma that sort of overwhelms what apricot is there.
T: Intensely sweet and sugary with a definite apricot flavor. I think apricots are usually too sweet anyway, and this is just overdoing it. A little sourness, but not enough for me.
M: The body is light with a high carbonation and a slightly grainy feel on the tongue.
D: Not my favorite of these lambics, but certainly not the worst either. mcberko (17809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 24, 2010
Bottle sampled at Firefly, pours golden orange with almost no head. Aroma of apricot, candied sugar and yeast. Flavour is extreme sweet apricots, quite jammy and sugary. Decent. blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 8, 2010
Bottle. golden orange, with a fizzy white head. Apricot sweet aroma, but like an old semi-spoiled apricot. Flavor is a bit better, with more of a candy like sweetness. Not awful.

(bottle - corked & capped 12 oz) Nice orange color with almost no head or carbonation. Sweet and fruity apricot aroma with some hints of musk and wood. Sweet and fruity flavor at the start with a nice hint of apricot juice. Some wood notes come through near the middle and then the flavor sort of disappears. Very dry and faint fruity aftertaste. jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 10, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2013 Lovely orange color. Nose is sweet candied apricot. Taste is sweet apricot flavor. Rated 10/1/02 fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 31, 2010
Bottle. Aroma of apricot-dough, earthy woodsiness, some sort of apricot confection aside from the dough that blended with it. Flavor again big on the apricot with tart and sweet notes that are quite pleasant and not artificial, medicinal, juice-like, anything of the sort. Last few chapeaus I’ve had I’ve sort of agreed with the consensus, but this one I liked. LilBeerDoctor (3930) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 31, 2010
Bottle thanks to dkachur. Pours a clear orange with a very tiny ring of white head. Aroma of sweet apricot and musty oak. Flavor again of sweet fruits (I can’t quite say that it is specifically apricot, but there are plenty of light fruits including apple and apricot) with a nice malt base. Overall quite enjoyable, as the other Chapeaus are.
