(bottle - corked & capped 12 oz) Nice orange color with almost no head or carbonation. Sweet and fruity apricot aroma with some hints of musk and wood. Sweet and fruity flavor at the start with a nice hint of apricot juice. Some wood notes come through near the middle and then the flavor sort of disappears. Very dry and faint fruity aftertaste.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2013 Lovely orange color. Nose is sweet candied apricot. Taste is sweet apricot flavor. Rated 10/1/02

Bottle. Aroma of apricot-dough, earthy woodsiness, some sort of apricot confection aside from the dough that blended with it. Flavor again big on the apricot with tart and sweet notes that are quite pleasant and not artificial, medicinal, juice-like, anything of the sort. Last few chapeaus I’ve had I’ve sort of agreed with the consensus, but this one I liked.

Bottle thanks to dkachur. Pours a clear orange with a very tiny ring of white head. Aroma of sweet apricot and musty oak. Flavor again of sweet fruits (I can’t quite say that it is specifically apricot, but there are plenty of light fruits including apple and apricot) with a nice malt base. Overall quite enjoyable, as the other Chapeaus are. 7/4/7/4/14 [3.6/5]

(Sample Date: 8/1/2009 Source:Other) Apricot with some woody notes in aroma. Clear light golden with no real head. Earthy sweet woody and slightly sour apricot and honey. Full body and mouth feel.

Slacks (615) - Bolton, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 4, 2009
Bottle: Pours orange, no head. Lots of sour and sweet fruit and sugar in the aroma, this is going to be f’n soda. Flavour does provide lots of apricot but at the expense of YOUR SOUL. This "beer" company just continues to release filmy, awful fruit juice. Bah.

wetherel (1888) - Cupertino, California, USA - SEP 2, 2009
Bottle from trade. Thanks! Cloudy yellow orange color with suspended particles. Sweet. Easy to drink. sugar, peach skin aroma. Decent. What a 3.6 rating! That’s right..stand back.

Bottle from wetherel, thanks for sharing John. Pours orangey with a tan head. Nose is sweet but not all that nice. Taste is sweet and tart and overall a big eh on the whole.
