375 ml bottle. Unclear golden body with a very small white head that quickly disappears to nothing. Aroma is fruity, lemon, acid and distinct wet horse blanket. Flavor is tart and funky with lemon, some fruit and quite much wood. The wood part feels like fresh wood and lots of tannin so the total impression is a quite robust and raw Geuze, miss some complexity compared with the other classics, but very refreshing and drinkable. Lot better than the big range of sweetened lambics from the brewery. Dry, tart and quite woody kind og finish.

Troebel goudblond bier met weinig wit schuim. Geur: zweterig, ietwat sulfer en kaas! Smaak: terug kaas, zuur, citroen. Ik heb toch al aangenamere geuzes gedronken.

mathieuc (3496) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 10, 2016
Pours a clear golden with a white rim on top that leaves low lacing. Nose is of wood, barnyard/grass with a good level of funk. Taste is dry, woody and quite tart/a bit puckering. Moderate body and carbonation and just really vinous. Overall a really nice surprise, a bit rough maybe but I still think I could add that to my regular lineup if it was easier to get.

czar (8032) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 6, 2016
bottle shared by mathieuc, thanks bro. pours unclear light but bright gold with a nice white cap offering some retention and lacing. bit of funk - woodsy barrels; tropical fruits, puckering citric/lactic acidity, exotic citrus. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; dry and sour herbal finish. enticing kind of funky aroma - no geuze depth though. more than fair, surprisingly.

Bottle courtesy of Kinz. I dig this kind of stuff. Smells like salty tequila. Sour. Nice dry tartness.

Sharp cheddar, oak, dusty basement nose. Clear amber, thick head. Tart lemon, tangy on the back end. Medium body, soft carbonation. A little lacking in complexity, but a nice complement to brisket.

Bottle. Pours golden with a tiny head. Aroma of vinegar, green apples, oak, funk and slight leather. The taste is sour and funky with notes of green apples, slight floral notes, citrus, vinegar and weak oaky notes. Better than expected to be honest.

375ml bottle (thanks Mart). Hazy golden color. Tiny size, white head, stays as a ring. Burnt rubber, sweet, fruity, acidic, rotten in aroma. Acidic, juicy, lemon, sweetish, yeasty in taste. Sharp mouthfeel. Acidic aftertaste. Not really for me.
