2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
I was expecting a sweetened lambic here but was disappointed... this is in fact the first lambic I haven’t raved over. Simpler than I thought this style could get, the candi yeast covers everything in the aroma, flavour, and finish, and you get a slight sourness in the back but it’s way too small. Not even "out there", which must be hard to do for such a strange style. I guess it would be fine with desert, but it doesn’t feel exquisite, just lame, so have it with a chocolate bar, not French pastry.
Bottle. Caramel color with no head. Aroma is funky, caramel, candied sugar. Taste is candied sugar. Low carbonation, sweet finish. Metallic aftertaste. FinnIckler (570) - GERMANY - JUL 28, 2017

Bottle. Pours clear amber. Aroma is light funk, dust, dirt, vinegar. Body is medium strangely salty and sweet, funk, sugar and sugar. Almost no carbonation. A bit like a soda, too. Meh.
Ok.

Clear copper orange beer, creamy white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: woody, funky, bit cheesy, some caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sour, caramel, bit sweet, lemony, lime peel, sugary touch. Aftertaste: pretty sourish, caramel, sweet, bit funky, cheesy finish. Actually one of the better faro’s I’ve tasted so far. Still very sour, which is nice!
Sampled from 0.25 l bottle from ’Belgiuminabox.com’, best before August 2016. Murky, brownish red with a thin, soapy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, a bit fruity and a little woody aroma of rotten lemon, vinegar, sugar and some wood. Very sweet, slightly sourish and a bit fruity taste of rotten lemon, apples, lots of sugar, some wood and hints of leather, followed by a short, slightly tart, a bit dry finish. Medium body, quite astringent and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Way too sweet, almost artificially so, unpleasant aroma, overall hardly drinkable.
