I was expecting a sweetened lambic here but was disappointed... this is in fact the first lambic I havent raved over. Simpler than I thought this style could get, the candi yeast covers everything in the aroma, flavour, and finish, and you get a slight sourness in the back but its way too small. Not even "out there", which must be hard to do for such a strange style. I guess it would be fine with desert, but it doesnt feel exquisite, just lame, so have it with a chocolate bar, not French pastry.

Zlotta (2511) - Hagen, GERMANY - DEC 29, 2016
Sampled from 0.25 l bottle from Belgiuminabox.com, best before August 2016. Murky, brownish red with a thin, soapy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, a bit fruity and a little woody aroma of rotten lemon, vinegar, sugar and some wood. Very sweet, slightly sourish and a bit fruity taste of rotten lemon, apples, lots of sugar, some wood and hints of leather, followed by a short, slightly tart, a bit dry finish. Medium body, quite astringent and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Way too sweet, almost artificially so, unpleasant aroma, overall hardly drinkable.

Un Faro assez basique, qui allie notes acidules, caramel et pointe de lambic. Bouche plutt domine par le sucre.

250ml bottle (thanks martjoobolut). Slightly hazy brown color. Small size, bubbly beige head, stays as a ring. Fruity, peach, sweet, sour, vinegar in aroma. Sweet, jammy, peach, apricot in taste. Sugary and apricots in aftertaste. Way too sweet for me, but not bad.

suurjuust (3153) - ESTONIA - JUN 11, 2016
Bottle shared by Mart. Hazy brown amber beer, small head. Nose is tart, fruit, barnyard, plums and sugar. Flavor is very sugary and sweet, fruitiness takes a backseat to the sugar, there are some tart notes in the finish, but oh boy is this sugary. Not overly sticky though.
