Alone at home. Hazy goldblond colored beer with small white head and only few carbonation. Cherry fruited aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is sweet cherry at first ending deep sour.

had with connie and rich. weird one. aroma of cherries, plums, icing sugar, mustiness. tasted of sweet sticky strawberry, raspberry, then blueberry. well it was ok, just artificially sweet, not very dry and tart

375 ml bottle poured a clear amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of caramel, fruitiness, yeast, earthiness and light funk. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of caramel, fruitiness, yeast and lught funk with a crisp dry lightly tart lingering fruity finish.

2014 Winter Geuze Damn so much hate on here. No, it is not a traditional tasting geuze. The sourness and funk are super mild but they’re undoubtedly there. I’d place this more in the belgian christmas beer wheel house and the lightness of the geuze qualities add a really delightful complexity to the brew. In fact, I’d say this is one of my favorite christmas beers of the year. Definitely malt forward, even a little sweet and raisiny. Very solid beer and something I’ll definitely buy again

Tasting at Maakun’s. Smerige stoffige kartonnen kauwgomballenwinkel. Tyfuszoet en smerig. Stinkt ook naar kots en stof en oude goedkope snoepjes. Met mint. Backlog from 2015/10/09.

375 ml bottle shared by James. Not sure where the gueuze was here. Big grape flavor. Fruity nose. Meh.

SaintMatty (7529) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - DEC 26, 2015
375ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Raisins and musty notes in the aroma. Tangy, sweet and tart taste with raisins and dates standing out. This bottle is one I bought in 2006 and is still in reasonable nick but not really my cup of tea.

LinusStick (3514) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 24, 2015
When I poured this beer and when I first smelled it I thought, "well it’s a gueuze, it can’t be as, right"? Wrong. Awful beer. Aroma was sweet hard candy and little vinegar. Pour was a clear medium hold with a thin off white film for a head (even after a vigorous pour). Taste was nasty. Artificial sweetener with notes a sweet apple cider vinegar. Teetth hurting sweet. Nasty sticky wet sugary finish with barely any carbonation to liven the beer up. Dumped it halfway through the glass and that’s rare for me. Nasty stuff

fellebag (1554) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 22, 2015
375ml bottle. Small white layer. Not too carbonated. Red brown color. Aroma is candy, oak, wine gums, roses. Sour taste of candy.

wlajwl (7075) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - DEC 13, 2015
Aroma is grape/grape juice and mild vinegar. The flavor is grape juice, mild vinegar, malts and a medium sweet finish.
