callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Dark amber-red body, thin off-white head, minimal lacing. Nose is oddly sweet, with dark fruits: raisins, figs, and dark grapes. Flavor is similar, with a fake-sweetness. Medium bodied, minimal carbonation, residual sweetness. This beer generally tasted like port or a pedro ximenez sherry, crossed with grape juice and flat soda. Which is a scary thought given that a boat load of artifical sugars and flavors went into that.

How: bottle Appearance: deep amber, medium off-white head. Aroma: plums, dark syrup and herbs. Palate: thin body, average carbonation.

Shared bottle of Chapeau Winter Gueuze at DSJT at Cardinal 13.11.16. Clear golden. White head. Sweet aroma of canned fruit. Acid and sweet taste of canned fruits and lychee.

kapusil (1476) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 27, 2016
0.375l bottle as Chapeau Winter Gueuze. Hazy orange body, white head. Aroma of sugar syrup, mold and plum juice. It’s really artificial and too sweet for me. The taste is very similar, only it has a hint of lemon juice in it too. I don’t understand why they call this a gueuze.

vipinvelp (4510) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - DEC 19, 2016
@ OBER Kerstbierfestival. Clear light copper, small foam ring remaining. Sout-sweet aroma and taste. Little dissapointed in this one. (Essen 201612)

TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 4, 2016
Pours a mostly clear yellowish golden color with little fizzy white head. Sweetness, odd sweetness, with some spice and vanilla on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes very sweet.

tmrmwel (2204) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 19, 2016
Bottle. Pours clear golden, with a small airy head. Aroma is sweet farmyard, wine gums, grapes and red apples. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is overly sweet, with wine gums and sweet pear cider notes. Ruined by sugar.

hackobock (4073) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 27, 2016
October 27, 2016. Bottle at home, best before September 3, 2018.
Clear copper with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is lots of chewing gum (Jenka), some fruity apple notes, sweet malty toffee notes, dusty wood, hints of earthy pine. Taste is sweet, malty, almost no tartness. Finish is slightly more tart with light apple skins, very sweet malty base with toffee and some fruity peach notes and chewing gum. Medium bodied, smooth texture, soft carbonation.
T his was not a hit...

[9/26/16] Bottle at a public park in Antwerpen. As Chapeau Winter Gueuze. Golden. Aroma of cardboard, fruits. Very sweet flavor with saccharine, candy-ish, with cardboard, fruitiness, and a light tart hint. Way too sweet.

Yves (3109) - Turnhout, BELGIUM - SEP 10, 2016
Alone at home. Hazy goldblond colored beer with small white head and only few carbonation. Cherry fruited aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is sweet cherry at first ending deep sour.
