à la maison. Une des meilleure référence pour moi au niveau des bières brunes. Goût prononcé de café , un poil chocolaté, belle longueur. Pétille peut-être un poil trop pour être LA référence.

330ml bottle from madeincalvados.com. Pours hazy deep brown, thin receding off-white head. Aroma is coffee, dark malts. Palate is thin, low carbonation, light body. Taste is coffee, nuts, roast, light caramel, drying close. Not great.

Bottle - black / brown, little to no head. Musty chocolate / coffee aroma, touch vanilla. Bit of ting on tongue and in mouth. Fairly smooth coffee, chocolate but watery finish. Ok easy drinking.

Inicio dulce y algo frutal y pronto tabaco. Esto es lo que queda principalmente. Le falta cuerpo y queda deslabazada. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from a supermarket in Rouen. Pours a dark brown, coppery undertone, topped with a fairly big beige colored head and nice retention. Roasty malt with coffee and some mild chocolate notes. As it warms it becomes more roasty. Sweet qnd roasty, lots of coffee and some mild bitterness in the finish. Pretty nice.

Bottle sampled at Björn, thanks. Big brown head. Medium brown color beer. Small aroma but clean. Light chocolate taste with a sweet finnish. Low bitterness.

A gift from Nico. Brown cloudy nice yellow head. Nice hint of alcohol, port and coffee in the aroma. Malt, burned coffee, with nice burned aftertaste. To watery for my taste

This felt kind of like a brown Biere de Garde, or maybe that’s what it is supposed to be? Anyways, looks like a brown and tastes like a slightly hopped up and fruity brown ale. Body has soft carbonation with a dry finish. Not bad but it needs more oomph.

Bottled. Hazy mahogany colour, rich head. Aroma of viola, licorice and chocolate. Dryish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Mid bitter finish.
