Bottle. Poured a pale golden colour with a lovely tight head which faded quickly. Aroma is sweet honey and slightly oily which develops as it warms to include a little grapefruit. Flavour is faintly disappointing with an sweet honeyish caramel that doesn’t quite do it for me. Slight biscuit taste as it dries on the palate and the mouthfeel is good but with an odd alcohol spike. Overall impression is honey taste but I feel let down. Bottle. Refreshing, fruity aroma, deep gold color. Sweet,lager-like malts, not much hopping going on, very fruity with some honey. Not very exciting. Doesn’t hold up enough flavor to justify the 8.5% alcohol.

Clear light brown coloured beer with medium off-white head and lots of carbonation. Fruity malty aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is roasted with hints of caramel ending bitter. Good one. olsvammel (7273) - Örebro, SWEDEN - OCT 16, 2011
It poured a pale yellow liquid with a white head. Sweet and malty smell with some corn. Similar taste but also some yeast and fruits. Felt industrial. johndoughty (5521) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2011
Bottle, Tried whist sitting in a bar in wonderful Brugge. Cant say what the appearance was because it was served in a three handled stone jar.
Taste was a sharp bitternes with a medium body. Nice beer, great place.

Vaetje: clear golden with a white head, taste & smell at first almost nothing, grainy, light malt & sugar, incredibly neutral for a beer, as it warms up, you get some light sweet fruit, some spices, minor yeast, pepper, incredibly kind of empty for a beer in distinct characteristics, neither bad or particularly good
Bottled, thanks WIm and Els! Clear golden, creamy head. Sweet and creamy with medium body. Plenty of marzipan and iron, slight resiny bitterness. Easy going strong ale with good drinkability and some levels oif complexity. Benzai (16568) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 9, 2011
Bottle @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Yellow, pretty standard blonde color, white head. Smell and taste are ok, but overall very average. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 11, 2011
Bottle. Pours unappealingly pale. A pretty dry palate with just some citrus notes to break that up. Disappointing. bierkoning (13615) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUN 9, 2011
Bottle. Blonde. Lemon and a hint of grass in the aroma. Slightly yeasty, grassy flavor with citrus notes. Alcoholic. Moderately sweet, but also soft and velvety. Decent but simple.
