An orange beer with an orange head. The aroma is rather hoppy and grassy, from a somewhat weird hop. The flavor is like newly mowed grass, the hop note covers the palate like a film - nice for a hop head, towards the end notes of grapefruit appears and lasts for a long time. Golden amber with a soft sparkle and creamy head. Herbal, woody aroma with some toasty notes. Woody, lightly toasty character. Nice balance. Light character but good refreshment. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 8, 2006

Bottle. Light apricot and hops aroma. Orange-brown color with small head. Initially light sweet malt flavor that is quickly overwhelmed by hops bitterness. Moderate acidity and carbonation. Nicely blended - the hops are strong but not overwhelming. hopscotch (11181) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 25, 2006
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2006 Draft... ODBF2006... Clear, golden ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Grapefruit, tea and honey in the aroma. Well-balanced flavor. Plenty sweet, but moderately bitter. Full-bodied with not-quite-medium carbonation. Lengthy, bitter finish. kp (10881) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

opaque burnt orange, whispy beige head, touch of lace, carmel malt aroma with soft floral hops, lots of bitter hop flavor on top of slightly sweet carmel malt, the carmel malt character is nice but overshadowed by the bitter hops,
much more balance between the sweet caramel malt and the bitterness,
Aroma: 6/10; Appearance: 6/10; Flavor: 6/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 11/20
My Bottom Line:3fourths (9357) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 26, 2006
This very approachable India Pale Ale quenches with its prominent citrusy hop perfume, subtle honeyed malts and modest earthy bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the hazy blonde.
-Balanced is achieved throughout.
-The mouthfeel is rather lean, and the carbonation quite smooth.
-The aromatic hop character is also herbal and spicy.
-Malts could offer more in terms of flavor.
Bottle, Brickskeller. Clear rich dark yellow color, almost orange in color. Sweet oily hops, reminding me of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Very slightly tinny in the nose, with more of a rich honey character. Crisp, fresh tasting, flavors of honey and herbs, oily, resiny hops. Oily but then frothy on the palate. Overall a respectable IPA.
