12oz bottle. Deep brown-amber body, unfiltered. Steady, massive, beige head. A pretty malt forward example of the style, certainly a little antiquated. Could pass for a Barleywine easily, in essence it really is one. Nothing about it is really off, but nothing is particularly exciting etiher. Not outright piney or resinous, which is nice, more of a light zesty classic NW thing going on. OK, but I wouldn’t want a four-pack. beer_rookie (708) - Arkansas, USA - AUG 5, 2016
Pours a hazy amber orange color. About three fingers tan head. Good retention, very good lacing.tderoeck (10617) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAY 13, 2016
Aroma is interesting. Like a combination of several styles of IPA. I smell tangerine, grapefruit, tropical fruits, citrus. I smell bitter hops, but malty sweetness is still coming through. There’s bread crust, and a touch of caramel. I don’t pick up a lot of pine.
Okay, I taste the pine. Pine and pine resin. Feels like there’s a film in my mouth that keeps emitting bitters. Bitter, almost mouth puckering. I taste orange and orange peel. Maybe a little pineapple. It’s hard to find anything through the bitterness.
Mouthfeel is full bodied. It has an oily film on the palate that keeps delivering bitters. Noticeable alcohol burn. It’s medium carbonated, I can’t imagine how it would be with more carbonation....
Overall, pretty good. Head remains till the very end. Doesn’t change a whole lot even after warming. Pretty good one. Not memorable enough to try gain, or to recommend.
30/IV/16 - 33cl bottle from a trade @ train ride to Tilquin English Beer Festival - BB: n/a, bottled: IV/16/15 (2016-451) Thanks to Brian for the trade!sebletitje (10477) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAY 2, 2016
Clear dark amber beer, creamy beige to orange head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, very malty, caramel, sugary, some vanilla. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter start, bit malty, very resinous, caramel, little fruity. Aftertaste: bitter, resinous, piny, very bitter hops, grassy, dry finish. Well, it’s pretty much what you’d expect from a one year old iipa...
Draft @ Tilquin English Fest ’16, courtesy of and shared with the fine Belgian RB crew, thanks Tderoeck. BB 04/16/2015. Great.
Beerhunter111 (23273) - Beerland, GERMANY - MAY 1, 2016
Thanks to tderoeck for sharing. Trübes dunkel orange goldenes Bier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr hopfig, bitter fruchtig, Harz. Geschmack sehr hopfig, harzig bitter, Pfirsich, leicht oxidiert.

Bottle on the train to Tilquin Beerfestival. Very bitter, malty, light hops. Nice but maybe better fresh. coachd (972) - Missouri, USA - MAR 26, 2016
On tap at Charleville. Very pleasant and clean non-hoppy aroma. Dark for a DIPA with a cream colored cap of foam. Taste is one note hop bitterness but it does live up to its name. This is a strong take no prisoners DIPA. I would like a little more balance but overall it's ok.

Pours a hazy deep orange amber with a foamy off white head. Aroma of oranges, floral notes, caramel and lightly toasted malt. Flavor of grapefruit, pine, caramel and cardboard. kambei70 (1136) - - MAY 9, 2015
2015 bottle. A muddy brown color with a lush light tan head. Good lacing. The aroma is hopcentric, piney and herbaceous with a hint of tropical fruit and caramel. Taste is the same with the hop flavor taking center stage. Has some green pepper and an almost charred taste that ends a little soapy. Has a medium mouthfeel that is semi-dry acerbic.
