Draft. Deep amber. Off white. Aroma of caramel, toasted grain, biscuit, citrus, grass, wood. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightl to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, fizzy carbonation. Slight raw grain flavor and leafy hops in the finish. Hops more forward than in classic ESBs. Missing the classic caramel taste, but an enjoyable beer jandd1983 (4330) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JUN 15, 2013
On tap at ITAP Chesterfield. Nitro version. It poured a clear amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma was slightly roasted malty caramel with some hoppiness. The taste was of roasted malty caramel with some earthy hints. It had a malty bitter hoppy finish. Very nice.

Sampled at Schlafly Fresh Hop fest - Cask version - Pours clear mahogany brown with a beige head. The aroma is earthy with caramel and nuts - has very English character to it. Medium soft body with a modest amount of carbonation. The taste is thinner than the aroma with a more assertive hoppiness. The finish is thin and spicy. Good ESB. jckp64 (356) - St Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 29, 2011
Draft at schlaflys fresh hop festival. Pours cloudy golden with a huge long lasting white head. Aroma is earthly hops, malts and toast and biscuit. Flavor is along the same lines. Has a nice creamy mouthfeel. Medium bodied with light carbonation. This was probably my favorite beer at the festival. phaleslu (10274) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 23, 2011
Served from a beer engine at the 2011 Fresh Hop Festival at Schlafly Bottleworks. The pour is initially a creamy khaki that cascades all the way up into a clear, bright amber that retains a creamy cap. Gorgeous. Aroma of toast, chocolate malts, earthy hops, biscuit, and wood. Flavor of earthy, grassy hops, grains, biscuit and sweet malts, cream, and another woodsy note. Light-medium bodied, with soft carbonation and a creamy, toasty mouthfeel. So nice. I’m loving what this brewery is doing lately and I’d love to find this on a beer engine or nitro again.
