I like this wheat a lot although the tart or sourness of the beer is slightly surprising and doesn’t seem to fit the style. A medium bodied, golden looking beer with typical spicing otherwise. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 9, 2008
Tasted 8/9/08. 22oz bomber. First pour, golden hue, slight sediment. Sparse ring of white head. Bright citrus nose. Nuances of Oranges and lemons. Melon and a slight pepper undertone. Medium bodied and very drinkable. Crisp wheats. Bright citrus blast. Slightly toasty. Moderate effervescence. Touch candy sugar. Lingering and slightly bitter finish. The fruity hops blend seamlessly with the citrus yeasty character. Spicy note from the coriander. Second pour holds more sediment and a thicker head. And a brighter yeast estery flavor. Solid! This is a definite bright spot for the local StL scene. SpudClampDawg (1029) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - MAY 4, 2008
22oz bottle: Sunny orange pour with a finger thick, whipped white head. The nose is full of orange sweetness and jumps right out of the glass. The sweetness dominates the body as well, leading into a drinkable, creamy body. This thing is loaded with coriander and candied orange, as well as lots of esthery banana, vanilla and lemon. The wheaty body is a great way to deliver the complexities. Very drinkable and a nice example of a style that often becomes soggy with adjuncts. Caytinator (1005) - Waco, Texas, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Good looking beer: bright yellow, hazy. Lemon-y fruity aroma (it definitely doesn’t need a lemon garnish, by the way). High carbonation, nice and full for the style. I definitely taste the coriander, I agree with description...nothing wrong with traditional. kaserk (55) - wdm, Iowa, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Drank out of bottle at Flanerys in STL. Great smell. Lemon smooth taste. I would drink this again.

Bottle during RBSG 2014 at Schlafly Bottleworks brunch. Clear yellow with off-white head. Aromas of wheat, citrus, malt. Tastes of wheat, citrus. Medium-light body with a dry finish. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUN 29, 2011
@dmacs-22oz bottle–pours a thin rich/foamy white head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is lemon/orange zest, grains of paradise, light/medium malt. Taste is lemon/orange zest/spice hops, grains of paradise, some pepper, sweet light/medium malt. thegreenrooster (4402) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 24, 2007
Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a stunning coriander and candi sugar. Flavor is not as stong but again lots of corriander and lemon peel with a nice mix of candi sugar and a nice wheat backbone. 22oz bottle named half wit wheat. I might want to take the drive down to st. gen to check this place out. dmac (6264) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 4, 2011
I really liked this one. Thinner pour with a clear gold body and a bubbly smalle white head. Aroma of orange citrus, spicey, grassy wheat, yeast and juice. Flavor of honey, orange, slight earth, vanilla and dry grains. Solid but judging how off my rating is I may possibly have had to much. Cavie (4718) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAR 11, 2017
Bottle. Fairly clear light golden color. White foamy head. Moderately high citrus orange peel aroma with definite coriander. Flavor is coriander, orange peel, wheat, no hops. Finishes lightly bitter. Nice.
