On tap at Le Saint-Bock - Montreal, QC. Aroma carries a slightly catty, base malt twinged aroma. This is terse and a bit biting, with qualities reminscent of Fantomes off-the-wall eccentricity. The gummy hoppiness runs up against dry minerals and a good malty base. Its funny, though, side-by-side with the Jandrain Id just had, this doesnt hold a candle for a light, wheaty, funky brew. Good, not great.

Metalchopz (3196) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 22, 2013
Found at March Omni. Pours a very slight hazy, light golden colour with a big creamy white head that lasts a very, very long time and chunks out foamy lacing. The smell at first reminds me of my first Unibroue experiences when they started. Spicy nose (peppery) with the Belgian Ale yeast, mild grass and citrus. Beautiful mouthfeel with just a little dryness in the finish, from the hop. Not overly bitter with a 35 IBU, which works well for this one. Very well-balanced taste of milder spices with the rest. The fruity aspect of a Saison are here, but come in and out as it breathes. Goes down very nicely and can be enjoyed any time of the year.

Damico (3145) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 13, 2012
Pours orange, not really clear, with brighter white head and some lacing. The aroma is sweet, pleasant, with some subtle toffee and grassy notes. The flavor is sweet, smooth, and a bit of grassy saison yeast with almost vanilla notes, as Steve had suggested I got them right away! Pretty nice for a saison from Canada!

Fresh fruit aroma with vinous white grape and some citrus in front of faint spicy noble hops. Almost clear gold under a lacy, lasting, white cover. Peppery phenolic up front in the flavor in front of pleasant fresh grapes and spicy, herbal hops. Woody bitterness is subtle. Effervescent high carbonation, light body, faintly sour finish.

Poured from a 750ml bottle, thanks to Doug. Lemon rind, dusty, earthy, spicy, rustic, this is a very nice saison. Very high carbonation.
