UPDATED: FEB 22, 2013 on tap at bateau de nuit, qc. re-rate. hazy very dark brown with a nice beige head, good retention and lacing. roastiness, lactose-like sweetness, light pine, grass and resin. some burnt cereals, slight high abv feel. average to soft carbonation, medium body. a well crafted lactose impy.

DerWeg (1605) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 15, 2010
Deep dark brown look with dark tan cap - thick and gorgeous. Lots of aromas of malt and cocoa, plus some acidity - lactic and citrus. Taste follows this with added dark fruit and lightly smoky roast. Overall unexpectedly smooth, on the verge of being a little fat and sweet yet surprisingly drinkable. Replays of finish are the light pleasant lactic sourness. Mucho gusto.

A really great Imperial Stout. Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, cream. Pour is pure black with a finger of tan head. Creamy head with tons of lacing. Taste is dark chocolate malts, creamy, alcohol bite. Slight alcohol aftertaste.

Pours black with a thick brown head. Aroma is yeast, hops and alcohol. Medium thin body but lots of alcohol. Belgian influence very clear in both hop and yeast character. Creamy texture. Finishes dry with a little burn.

DuffMan (9747) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 6, 2010
Bottle. Pours a lovely deep chestnut brown, thick, with a slowly forming tan head. Aroma is all chocolate with hints of caramel and earth. Velvety mouthfeel, full-bodied. Flavours of bakers chocolate, dark caramel, cream. Balanced bitter finish. Not overly complex, but very flavourful and tasty.

Imperial-John (192) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 3, 2010
Dusty milk choco aroma. Black with foamy espresso head that thins to creamy head. Smooth sweet airy milk shake with a kick. Nice milky choco aftertaste. The most airy light 9% stout Ive had.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2010 500ml bottle from jsprime of BA. pours black with a lingering tan head. aroma of green apple, burnt marshmellow, caramel. the flavour: red apple, caramel, sugar. overly sweet and hard to finish the 500ml bottle. the body is super thin and this beer is mostly flavourless. i was really excited to try this stout after enjoying other offerings from this brewery but this one was drain lubricant.

SlovakSniper (5315) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - APR 24, 2010
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2012 En bouteille. Degr dalcool soigneusement cach.
