Taboada (1355) - Compostela (Galiza), - MAR 9, 2016
Tasted from the tap on the 04/03/2016 at the Barcelona Beer Festival. Almost black colour with a creamy head. Aroma of milks, chocolates, roasted malts and molasses. Taste is milk chocolate, molasses and some caramel. Strong and sweet finish. Next one please!

Bottle. Dark, nearly black pour with a tan head. Aroma is malty chocolate, a little roasty, some lactose. Taste is slightly boozy chocolate, some roasty malt character, hint of milk/lactose... Very slightly sweet, rich and flavourful, pretty well balanced.

Bonne mousse, nez de café et choco noir. On sent pratiquement l’alcool. En bouche, c’est très bien balancé. Chaleur d’alcool, rondeur de sucre dû au lactose. Chocolat, torréfaction. Globalement une des meilleure impérial stout sur le marché québécois.

Dark brown color with mocha head. Smells like chocolate milk all the way. Taste is sweet and chocolatey, milky, a bit roasty and bitter on the finish. Body is quite heavy and smooth. I also get a bit of warming alcohol. Really nice overall, sweet, milky and chocolatey.

Bouteille 500ml. Couleur noire presque opaque, reflets rouge, mousse moka pâle aérienne laissant une belle dentelle. Arôme de café, malt torréfié, sucré, crème, cendré, alcool. Goût de malt torréfié, alcool, café, sucré. Carbonatation moyenne-élevée, corps moyenne-faible.

(Charlevoix Vache Folle Imperial Milk Stout) Bottle 500 ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 9% Dark brown coloured body, small and thin tan head, with good retention. Aroma of light roasted malts, lots of milky chocolate, light vanilla. Taste folows, lots of chocolate, much more vanilla now, light fudge, light alcohol. Medium to thick body, good soft carbonation, slightly sticky palate. Very good!

Draft poured at sugar bowl in Edmonton. Pours dark brown with beige head and nice lacing. Not a lot of aroma. Taste is quite sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Not my favorite stout but a good way to start a Black Friday!
