Flavour is roasted malts, a bit creamy, some chocolate burnt wet wood and alcohol. Mild dark dry fruityness. Pleasant, but a bit too burning. omhper (25249) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 8, 2009
Bottled at PBF. Black, pale brown head. Chocolatey soy sauce aroma. Sweet and full bodied with compact but rounded malt. Peach and salt, chocolate and brandy. Drier finish with salty bitterness. A great dessert beer. Poerful, but not overpowering. Beerhunter111 (21385) - P´Castle, GERMANY - APR 5, 2014

Black color; generous beige head, compact. The aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malt is light, with a very light touch of coffee and dry cold smoke. The body is medium structured, the drinkability is therefore eased; without being too strong, the roasted malt flavor is very good, almost coffeish, with some residual sweetness, with a late impression of liquorice; finally, in the end, the alcohol warms the mouth. Elegant Imperial Stout.
9/11/9/10/9/9

Poured from a 500ml bottle (Mar ’12) into a goblet to a luxurious black colour with a generous creamy beige/light brown head that, whilst reducing, kept its presence throughout the drinking experience.
On the nose I got sweet milk chocolate, a little roasted malt and perhaps caramel/fudge and a pinch of coffee lurking in the background but ’sweet’ was the overwhelming word!
Taste wise not as sweet as I had expected, which was a good thing from my point of view! The chocolate flavour was definately at the ’sweet’ end of the spectrum rather than ’bitter’ and had a milky taste to it also lightly roasted malts present. Not a big punchy flavour as one may expect from a high ABV imperial stout but well balanced and highly drinkable none the less!
Enjoyed the mouthfeel on this beer, very creamy and smooth, top end of medium bodied but not as full as most 9%+ beers of this ilk. low to moderate carbonation - spot on !
Overall a good imperial stout, but perhaps a little too creamy and sweet to be a world beater in this category, none the less it was a fun beer that I enjoyed and will happily revisit!

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2010 500mL bottle, pours black with a tan head. Aroma of oatmeal, coffee, vanilla and a little chocolate. Very hearty oatmeal in the flavour, with coffee, vanilla, and a milky quality - quite sweet. Not overly fond of the milky/lactose quality, but it’s a solid beer no doubt. Opaque black color, small beige head. Nose has kind of medicinaly toastyness, light apples and light coffee. Tastes a bit like baltic porter, not much milk stout. Toasted malts, some coffee, light sweet lactose notes. Feels less than 9 %. Ok, but not as good as average 3.72 here indicates. jtclockwork (16690) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 27, 2011
Bottle thanks to Arch. Pours black with a very light brown head. Nose is lactose, powdered milk and roast chocolate malt. Some light hops. Taste is creamy chocolate milk and roasted chocolate malt. Light body for a regular stout, nevermind an imperial. Smooth. Easy drinking.
