Draft beer drank at Athens. Darkish brown and murky pour resembling to coffee with light brown head. The taste goes from being bittersweer to sourish. Very interesting taste. One can feel hints of caramel and coffee. Carbonation is avarage. Body is middle. Pretty solid beer.

250ml draught at Ali Vafi’s Garden. Deep, near-black body, beige head, dotted spots on the glass. Mild roasted malty aromas, mid-sweet. Brittle caramel, liquorice, and prunes to the taste buds. Roasted malty finish. Medium bodied. Decent version of the style. (11.06.2017).

Draught 40cl. served in a Charma tankard @Beertime, Athens. Deep dark brown, mid-size frothy tan head, mostly diminishing, heavy lacing; aroma sweet malts, caramel, hint of licorice, touch of barnyard; taste light heavy sweet and light bitter, light toasted malts, toffee, light licorice; sweetbitter aftertaste, light coffee notes; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; surprisingly tasty and well-executed dunkel. Rated 29/9/16.

The hops add a moderate bitterness that balance out perfectly with the mild sweetness from the malt , very good beer

Tap at Beer Time in Athens. Didn’t take notes so my memory might be a bit blurred. Anyway. Was a very nice thirst quencher with lovely toasty aroma and flavour, and even more lovely soft mouthfeel and thin active carbonation. Went down too easily with the excellent dolmades!

Hazy dark copper-brown color with beige head. Aroma is roasted malty, sweet caramel, light fruity. Taste is sweet and bitter, malty caramel, light coffee, light fruity again. Light to medium body, oily, soft carbonation.

On tap at Charma’s kiosk, Athens Craft Beer Expo. Pours dark, almost opaque brown with rich creamy brown head, medium body, slightly thin texture, good carbonation, fair lacing. Roasted malts, burnt brown sugar, some spices like nutmeg on the nose, coffee, hints of caramel and chocolate. Medium bitterness, dry finish, bitter aftertaste. A good example of dunkel, and a rare chance to taste Charma beer on tap. Good people brew good beer. Cheers, lads!
