Aromas of malt, caramel and raisin bread. Pours a clear brown with a fast dissipating off-white head. Light lacing. Tastes of bread and leather balanced by a long sour finish with a lingering bite. Quite carbonated. Not bad. johnnnniee (4440) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 4, 2016
Bottle shared by Kelly and Paul, thanks for the opportunity! Slightly hazy deep copper color. Rich bready caramel maltiness with light chocolate and a slightly annoying clove character especially in the finish. Decent beer. jrodooo5 (1728) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - NOV 25, 2015
Pretty pour but a bit hoppy for the style! Attractive brown pour w/ a retaining tan head & good lscing. The aroma is subtle & just has some faint malt coming through. The taste is primarily bitter & any chocolate or roasted notes are a minuscule undertone. Kind of different for s brown but not exactly in a good way! Clear very dark ruby amber with a fluffy cloud for a head and streamers of lace. Taste is caramel malt and tart toffee that has a bit of coffee character as it moves through the palate. There isn’t quite enough bittering at the end to balance. Pretty big flavor, but heavy on the sweetness. Reasonable effort CTbeerGuy24 (6) - Mansfield Center, Connecticut, USA - JUL 9, 2013 does not count
This beer is tasteful just like a Brown ale should be. A little bitter but none the less a tasty beer. With 30 IBU and 25 in SRM which brings the color between a ruby brown and deep brown. joebudzjoe (677) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 5, 2013
Draft @ the Beer Garden in Stamford, CT. This is a solid brown ale that has a surprisingly high barley flavor. Medium bodied and laces nicely. Not much of a hop flavor, but nothing offensive about this beer, but they need to figure out to eliminate the chalkiness of this. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 24, 2012

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Darien. Pours a clear dark reddish brown color with a medium sized fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of nutty notes, brown malts and stone fruits. The taste is nutty, faint chocolate, stone fruits, floral hop finish. Medium bodied, very high carbonation. Decent.
