500 ml bottle from Chateau Kamiya. Hazy yellow with off-white head. aromas of wheat, citrus peel, floral. Tastes of wheat, light citrus, toasty notes. Medium body with a dry finish. maekchu (4104) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JUL 18, 2013
Draught at the Great Japan Beer Festival in Osaka (7/13/2013). Hits the nose with a shovel-full of hops and some very distinct celery notes. Cloudy, thin pear juice. Hopped up to armpit level. Stand back, mate! Very thin body. Hops dominate throughout. Can’t really detect the wheat. Good enough as a hop bomb, but it doesn’t have the body or flavors of a wheat. shoulderbroken (4256) - Tokyo, JAPAN - AUG 9, 2012
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2013 Draft at the brewery. Pale blond with white small head. Aroma wheat, bit citrus, bitter lemony hops. Taste nice and bitter. Lots of lemon. Some wheat there after bitterness fades. Very refreshing and crisp. Good starter. Like a Japanese/German XX bitter. Rerate: 20/9/13 this year it is really grapefruity. Taste upped by 1 point. Draught at 1020. Great grapefruit nose, subtle and refined but juicy and ripe. Deep, very cloudy yellow, a dull pastel. Big grassy hop flavor, grapefruit, light malt, low sweetness, but bready. Soft body and carbonation. Great, very refreshing.
