Murky amber with a thin head. Earthy aroma with caramel. Smells past its prime, but with no date on the bottle who knows. Toasted character with earthy hops and a dry finish. drjay44 (3853) - Salida, Colorado, USA - APR 6, 2012
650 ml. bottle. Pours a thick lasting white head, with some lacing, over a clear amber (SRM 13) body.....nose is light toffee/caramel, hints of floral honey....taste is toffee/caramel, light floral, leading to a lingering hop bitterness....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, carbonation adds a pleasant spritz. This is a typical APA. It is nicely balanced and hits all the right spots. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7 b79turner (261) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - APR 4, 2012
Bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours a caramel brown color with a large tan head. Nose is great! Citrus, sweet, caramel, bread, floral aromas. Taste is what caught me by surprise, a bitter finish I wasn’t expecting. Overall though a well done beer.

Smells mostly of hops, peach everywhere, but thick and muddy and messy. Fleshy fruity taste is a bit silly to be honest, it’s not beery enough. A bit sweet and simple. Cloudy.
Bottle. Really nice red color and pleasant haze. Stable little cap. Aroma is certainly new, clean, thin, and cardboardy with a hint of cherry. The palate is thin but offers nice toasty malts. The malt flavor is pleasantly toasty, with just the right level of caramelization. I think some geeks might find it boring, but the malt character is a fairly accessible one. The brew is rescued by some late hops, too, adding a distinct balance that makes it a nice, mellow session beer. And a nice concept.

Pine, grain, and floral aroma. Dark amber with off-white head, and decent lacing. Pine, mild caramel, and grain flavours. Medium bitterness. BeeRx (18) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 11, 2012
A- Pours a burnt orange with a white head. Lacing was spectacular, reminiscent of whipped cream! thetmaxx (927) - West Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 10, 2012
S- Honey, Caramel, Juicy Fruits (Orange Peel, Grapefruit, Granny Smith Apple and a little Pear), Spicy Notes (Hint of Black Pepper and Cardamom). This beer smells SO GOOD and Im usually not big on smell.
T- It has a good hop bite in the beginning followed by a sweet malty caramel finish. There are tastes of clover honey, citrus fruits that have been over ripened (in a good way, thus the juicy characteristics), some nuttiness, as well as some bready qualities. The mouth feel was light to medium. This is a good pale ale!
Food Pairing- I had this with some sweet jalapeno and thai curry wings along with some seasoned potato wedges...it was a REAL GOOD match. This would also be good with sushi...sushi dabbed with some wasabi and soy.
Poured from the bomber. Aroma is earthy and malty. As is the flavour. Really earthy which seems to be the case with most organic stuff I’ve had. The bitterness is in the spicy realm. Also a earthy bitterness. Finished dry. good lacing down the glass, nice head, slightly cloudy.
