Thanks to my sister-in-law, Sarah, for the xmas prezzie. Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, dry and has a decent fine crispness. Smooth dry malts, very mild sweetness and some earthy character. Mellow floral bitterness. Decent tangy fruits, a trace of BlackBerry. Smooth dry finish leaves a mild fruity bitter linger. Quite juicy if dry and fairly drinkable.

Bottle. Sweet toffee and nutty aroma. Pours with a dark copper colour and frothy off white head. Sweet malty flavour with toffee and nut notes. Medium body. Sweet finish.

Clear amber/copper color with small off white foam. Aromas of sweet figs and dried fruit with notes of caramel and a mild touch of chocolate malt. Palate, medium body with smooth creamy texture leaving long finish. Taste, sweet of oak, dried fruits following more bitter hoppy taste and nutty back bone. Overall, nice decent beer, not watery bitter, something more reasonable and actually enjoyable.

500mlbb05/2017 from the Chatsworth Estate shop, fancy. - Rusty amber pour. Aroma of damp shrub and bread crust, chthonic bitters and toasted grains. Flavour thinner, edgier than expected with an amber malt bitterness to complement the almost wild hop spiky bitterness. Liquorice, walnut and chocolate at the horizon. - Well-integrated and with a solid backbone, of a hard to place rustic refinement that I suppose befits its lush, well-kept context (£12,90 entry fee).

Bottle. Red Brown in colour. Strong, dark, very malty bitter. Bittersweet with lots of grassy hops. Dry, malty, roasted finish. Enjoyed this. Decent. (2008)

Copper-red in colour, no head. Has a high sweetness in both aroma and taste and fairly sugary in the latter respect.
