Best bitter from a local brewery in Cheddar, big thanks to Jean for the bottle. Papery lacing, egg-white, moussy, stable head over a hazy copper-tinged amber coloured beer with dark dots of dead yeast floating around in the end. Aroma of soggy toast, egg yolk (yeast autolysis, no doubt), dried garden herbs, camomile, fried tomato peel, dried apricots, butter, white pepper. Dried peach and apple peel fruitiness in the onset, dryish with medium carbonation, supple, lightly buttery mouthfeel, a tad oily. Butterscotch- and lightly peanut-like malt body, hoppy finish with a soft but effective, bit resiny bitterness to it, very floral, bit peppery. Well-balanced, quenching, correct but very traditional English bitter. Fin (11059) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2017
Bottle courtesy of Barry and Lynn (cheers you two!) consumed at home Sunday 27th August 2017 with Lynn and Barry after a few beers up the Crown. Copper coloured bitter that is fruity and quite traditional in style. This could do with being a little more bitter and interesting but nonetheless will appeal to tradionalists, I didn’t dislike it, in fact it was fine just lacked a bit in all departments.

Bottle. Beautiful copper coloured. Small head which disappears immediately. Weak aroma of malts only. Taste is caramell, biscuit, bread and bitter hops. Dry finish. Very low carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. Ordinary but decent Bitter. I could spend a night with this one. BeerViking (5132) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 7, 2016

Clear bright deep amber beer with tidy pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate with fine minerally carbonation. Light malt, touch of cream. Little dried fruit hops. Light dry finish with a mellow bitter linger. Standard stuff but clean and done well.
A clean taste it is, maybe a little too clean. Hardly any aroma, lightly metallic, ugly beer apart from the head.
