COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - Winter. Also available bottle conditioned at 4.7%.
Totty Pot is a rich, dark porter with a deeply satisfying roasted malt character and subtle hop highlights. It is brewed using the best quality Maris Otter, wheat and dark malts and hopped with a blend of English whole hops.
Rich and comforting, a real ale alternative to other black stuff.
Totty Pot is Cheddar Ales Winter Special, although youll occasionally find it at other times of the year as well.

Looks good - black as pitch with a nice beige head leaving lots of lacing. Medium body. Tastes are OK but a bit bland - theres some coffee, the grain flavours come through nicely, and a bit if dark toffee bitterness peeks through at the end.

leebotton (406) - Bristol, Somerset, ENGLAND - OCT 31, 2013
A promising burnt toasty roasty aroma Barbecue / chargrill? and pours a quickly diminishing tanned bubbly head. Black as the ace of clubs or thereabouts. Mmm! big nutty burnt flavours on the tongue with a big bubbly champagne-like mouthfeel. Complex enough and yet not too thick or so rich so that it could be drunk plenty without too much trouble, well balanced texture. A real pleasant surprise which I would recommend.
