COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - Winter. Also available bottle conditioned at 4.7%.
Totty Pot is a rich, dark porter with a deeply satisfying roasted malt character and subtle hop highlights. It is brewed using the best quality Maris Otter, wheat and dark malts and hopped with a blend of English whole hops.
Rich and comforting, a real ale alternative to other black stuff.
Totty Pot is Cheddar Ales’ Winter Special, although you’ll occasionally find it at other times of the year as well.

Sjohnh (974) - Coventry, West Midlands, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2015
Looks good - black as pitch with a nice beige head leaving lots of lacing. Medium body. Tastes are OK but a bit bland - there’s some coffee, the grain flavours come through nicely, and a bit if dark toffee bitterness peeks through at the end.

cask at belfast beer festival
Dark brown, tan lacing, chocolate aroma, dry roast character...in stout territory with herbal hops.

leebotton (406) - Bristol, Somerset, ENGLAND - OCT 31, 2013
A promising burnt toasty roasty aroma Barbecue / chargrill? and pours a quickly diminishing tanned bubbly head. Black as the ace of clubs or thereabouts. Mmm! big nutty burnt flavours on the tongue with a big bubbly champagne-like mouthfeel. Complex enough and yet not too thick or so rich so that it could be drunk plenty without too much trouble, well balanced texture. A real pleasant surprise which I would recommend.
