A promising burnt toasty roasty aroma Barbecue / chargrill? and pours a quickly diminishing tanned bubbly head. Black as the ace of clubs or thereabouts. Mmm! big nutty burnt flavours on the tongue with a big bubbly champagne-like mouthfeel. Complex enough and yet not too thick or so rich so that it could be drunk plenty without too much trouble, well balanced texture. A real pleasant surprise which I would recommend. Almost tarry roast aroma, some of those midget Humalankyla hops we put
in out mild. Some floweriness too, and chocolate powder. Appearance is
pure beautiful black, with a glorious spongy head that persists for
the whole time. Smooth, and quite refreshing, palate. Stale coffee and
tar retronasals. Beautifully rich, but gloriously mellow roasty taste.
A little dry at times. Finish carries some of the roast, but brings
out more of the hops. Simply a stunning porter. Excellent balance -
very potent, but with no harshness anywhere.
Cask at Oliver Twist Stockholm. Medium and lasting brown head. Solid black color. Realy nice roasted malt aroma blended with a tuch of caramell. Smooth roasted malty taste with a small cara sweetness. Medium to big body and huge drinkabillity. Sissio (1647) - Orsenigo, ITALY - APR 2, 2016

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Dark brown, creamy head. Tart mocca, leather and toast up front. Mid sweet with light-medium body and soft mouthfeel. Lightly fruity with coffee and leather as dominant flavours, notes of hay. Mid bitter finish. Rich, yet mild and quaffable cask porter.

Cask conditioned at The Weighbridge, Alvechurch, Worcs. Very dark brown with cream head. Heady, fruity, blackcurrant notes, sweetish then a hint of liquorice for balance. Really pretty tasty and full. Very pleasant. BOBBDrinker (67) - - MAR 2, 2013
Totty Pot is an award winning dark porter style ale from Cheddar Ales. It has a coffee and roasted malts aroma which creates a chocolate and coffee flavour, its cream tan head lasts until the last drop has gone. A really nice beer not too strong or overpowering. The subtle caramel flavours follow after the beer has settle for a while. A great porter for any dark beer lover. desdemoor (14) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2008
Bottle conditioned version, review bottle from brewer. A black beer with a thick mid-fawn head and a restrained malty aroma with a hint of iron. A full but tangy palate has dark malt, cola, toffee caramel, restrained herbal hops and slight hints of burnt rubber and cough sweets. A softer lightly sugary swallow leads to a dark sultana cake finish with light roast and rooty hops notes. Overall, full of flavour but very drinkable. Originally intended as a winter seasonal for 2007/08 but following beer festival awards production has been revived early in 2008. Alphadelic (2237) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 24, 2009
Looking good with its inky blackness and creamy beige head. On the nose it has some milky sweetness and a lightly smoked edge both of which carry over to the mouth. The smokiness builds there to create a dark chocolate bitterness whilst fresh coffee aromas permeate the nostrils. Pretty darned tasty actually. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - OCT 27, 2010
