draft / cask conditioned @ hop devil grill - easily the highlight of my night of bar hopping in NYC; hazy, light orange with creamy white head; texture to die for as it drinks with a fluffy bitterness and very smooth; creamy, dry, bitter pine hops; just dripping with liquid hops; phenomenal jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 13, 2007
@ Brazen Head on cask-pours an off white head and hazy amber color. Aroma is citrus/pine hops. Taste is sweet citrus/pine hops, secondary /faint medium malt, somewhat thick slick mouth feel. golubj (1377) - San Mateo, California, USA - NOV 9, 2007
Cask at the Blind Tiger. Aroma of some grainy / corn like malt, citrus and pine hops. The malt flavor remains a little earthy and grainy, but the hops are in nearly perfect balance. Smooth and very soft on cask. Not overly bitter. goldtwins (4319) - Nesconset, New York, USA - NOV 4, 2007
Cask @ Brazen Head. Poured a hazy deep amber color with a thin off-white head. Earthy and citrus hop aroma. Mildly fruity with some caramel hop. Grapefruit and sweet malt flavor. The malt dries out leaving just hop flavor. Long hop bitterness. Medium bodied. I would like the try the regular version as well. beastiefan2k (4179) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - NOV 4, 2007
Brazen Head Cask Fest. Hazy orange color a sticky head. Aroma is very apple skin bitter hops, some citrus and pine as well. Taste is dominated by a medium hop bitterness with not enough malt to back it up. Comes off as hoppy bitter juice and nothing else. Medium body.

Cask, half pint glass.
Cask at the Brazen Head: Deep copper pour with a consistent tan head. Has some resiny, New York hops in the aroma, along with a bit of bready malt presence (Rye is in the mash?) Richly resiny taste. Has a nice piney hop presence and a bready malt balance (not at all sticky or sweet) The finish has a prolonged bitterness. A well crafted & bitter IIPA. Cask at the Brazen Head. Hazy golden beer with a fairly creamy white head. Aroma is quite hoppy. Herbal and grassy with a light earthiness. Flavour is good, pale malt, light toast and soft earthiness. Dusty character. Some light pine and a fairly lingering bitterness. Decent beer.
