Cask at Barcade. Tight white head over a slightly hazy amber pour. The nose is really quite nice. Lots of spicy rye malt and a touch of clove that is backed by a nice light citrusy hoppiness. Flavour is quite nice with loads of malty spice and some light fruitiness as well. Soft creamy palate with a nice earthy bitterness on the back of the palate as well. Warming really brings up a nice orangey sweetness. Pretty nice beer... especially on cask. tgncc (3145) - Bellmore, New York, USA - AUG 2, 2010
The aroma is mostly rey bread, doughy, spicy, and some floral hops. Actually pretty nice. The appearance is amber/red color, white head. The flavor is bread, spicy, rye. The finish is spicy, earthy hops. Medium in body. Decent and enjoyable. Leighton (22823) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 8, 2010
Tap at Pony Bar. Pours a clear, amber-orange with a medium, white head. Aroma holds light malty notes, rye grains and earthy hops. Flavor is of moderate sweetness with a distinctly alternative malt character, bready, and finishish with modest bitterness. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. A decent beer. blipp (9929) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUN 7, 2010
Draft. Pours golden orange with a white head. Light floral hoppy aroma with some lighter rye notes. The flavor has a rye and bready malty base with some floral hops. Well balanced.
