A medium bodied ale with the perfect balance between malt and domestic hop flavors and aromas. The use of "crystal malt" in the brewing process imparts a rich caramel flavor. The pitching of American ale yeast to this classic style gives our Red Ale a light fruitiness.

Draft at Valhalla, 9th Ave, New York City. Pours dark amber red with a small off-white head. Aroma of biscuit, malt, toffee, light chocolate, yeast and light toasting. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation, dry finish.

Chestnut brown color, medium-sized beige head. Some "heavy" toffee in the nose. Light-bodied. Toasted maltyness behind, crystal malty caramel, some grassy notes. Don’t know if casking is doing any good for this (versus keg).

mansquito (6911) - Nueva York, New York, USA - FEB 27, 2017
NYC Beer Week Opening Bash: Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel and small fruitiness. Taste is boring and pretty simple. It is not surprising that this style went by the wayside.

trapped (3614) - New York, TURKEY - JAN 15, 2014
Drought. Copper red with small beige foamy head, nutmeg aroma, spicy taste with hint of cinnamon, low carbonation, sour finish. A bit weak for my taste.

Jow (4091) - Orlando, Florida, USA - NOV 16, 2013
Pours ruby copper with light beige head decent lacing. Nose of toffee and hops. Tastes light hop bitterness, caramel, honey, and plywood. Thin palate and watery.

1/2 at the Tilley Stone Gateshead. Dark ammber with a dense off white head. Demarera sugar and citrus aroma. Toffee, grapefruit and pineapple flavour. Sweet with a bitter finish. Nice, but not earth-shattering
