Decent little coconut porter from Cherry Street, big on roasted chocolate-java notes, not so much on coconut. In fact, I’d be higher on this beer if coconut wasn’t in the name, since it really has very little to do with the actual flavor. Regardless, as an English-style porter it brings a solid mocha backbone with modest cherry-raisin accents in the middle and a date-tinged sweetness on the back end. Remains thankfully dry, yet it’s a shame the coconut is as faint as it is, almost indiscernible amid all the heavy coffee and chocolate on the finish. Kinda stumped as to how to rate this beer; it’s a solid porter through and through, but it’s called a ’coconut porter’, and damned if I can find much coconut in here. A bit overcarbonated as well, the sparkly, overexcited texture too much for the style. Still a good beer. Better than my score. Imaena (2328) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - JUN 14, 2017
Bottle. This is a rich, sweet, and roasty porter with a nice hint of coconut richness in the finish. tightslice (1397) - Redwood City, California, USA - JUN 1, 2017
Bottle from Jax Beer & Wine in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is roasted malts, slightly burnt grains and roasted nuts. Taste is dry roasted malts, some baking cocoa. A little disappointing, was hoping for a bit more sweetness, vanilla, and certainly more coconut. ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - JAN 30, 2017
Poured from the tap into a 20 mug at the Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is pitch black with a small tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt. an excellent beer. Travlr (25821) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 5, 2016
Draft. Opaque dark brown color, tan head. Nice aroma of dark chocolate on a coconut background. Taste is creamy, sweet, rich cocoa and coconut. Very nice.

At BHB Depot Fest…yeah, pretty much a chocolate coffee and light coconut porter. I don’t remember much vanilla or date taste, but, hey, I believe they’re in there. deaconmike (470) - Roswell, Georgia, USA - APR 22, 2016
On tap at Lucky’s. Pours walnut with ruby edges, no head. Roast, coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Not really picking up the coconut. Taste is similar, but with a hit of vanilla extract. Maybe a touch of coconut. Plenty of sweetness, no hop bitterness to speak of. Body is light and smooth. Good beer. drowland (8955) - Georgia, USA - APR 20, 2016
4/2/16. Sampled at the BHB 4th Anniversary Bash. Black pour with a small tan head. Light coconut aroma, roasted malts, dark chocolate. Okay flavor, coconut somewhat subtle, light roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Not bad. aracauna (3651) - Georgia, USA - OCT 28, 2015
Coconut porter is a thing that works. This isn’t as good as Springslicker’s home brew coconut porter, but it’s good. Aurelius (5496) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 8, 2015
Mellow toasted, sweetish coconut aroma. Properly dark. Sweet, smooth, lots of character, light roast. Enjoyable, fun. On tap, at the brewery.
