A traditional German Hefeweizen with great banana and clove notes. This beer was named by April Fister, as a part of our first Name that Beer. Being a later recipe in our line-up, this beer has quickly become one of the brewers favorites!

Muted papermill aroma. Foggy white-blonde, thin white head. Mild flavor, a little esteric, faintly tangy, very low bittering. Tangy aftertaste, light body, low carbonation. Good. On tap at the brewery with LuckyDog.

One of the few Cherry St. brews that have just not ordered before due to their other interesting selections. Hazed yellow pour with ample white head. Esthers of banana, clove and a hint of spice with a heavy malt biscuit base.

Growler from ale yeah. Pours a lighter than expected yellow with a minimal white head. Decent sweetness overall. A little more on the grassy hop side of the aroma equation. Flavor is definite wheat and banana and clove. Nice balance to the spice. Finish is fruity lemon citrus.

Tap @ Cherry Street. Pours cloudy yellow, bright white foam. Tastes of fresh green banana, wheat, hints of spicy clove. Aroma of wheat, hint of lemon zest. Very thin. Perfect for summer. I try to stay away from Hefes anymore but this one is great. (3784)

Banana, banana, banana. This is a spicy sweet tasting hefe. Good brew but not really my style. Little color, head, lacing.

Comes out of the tap a hazy, barely transparent golden, thick white head. Wheaty aroma has a strong note of lemon. Strong wheaty and malty flavor pleases with a citrus undertone that is mainly lemon. Body is fizzy and firm. Go ahead, monkey with it.

Appearance: Hazy, nearly milky pale yellow body with a thin, bone white head.

Smell: Pilsner and wheat malts are present, faintly sweetish, though not quite as dense as in some hefes. A little touch of banana puree, a snippet of lemon peel, hint of clove.

Taste: Scantly grainy pils, soft malted wheat with a generous dusting of powdered sugar. Light lemon. Minor, minor spice quality. Modest banana. Low hop character, bitterness. Clean finish with a little zip of effervescence.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: A light leaning hefeweizen. Still though, the flavors are pleasant, well-integrated, making it one of their better beers to date.

On tap at Rick Tanners. Light and bubbly yellow, with a small, off-white head. The aroma is lemons, wheat, bananas, and very faint spices. Very sweet, with some biscuity yeast through the finish. Light body, bubbly, and a little acidic. Overall, this is a pretty good beer, but is lacking complexity and body.
