Nose is light vanilla a little chalk lots of sweetness and good mouthfeel. Taste has all same but no chalk. The beer really is so near perfect that you have to search for the off putting portions. Thin nice head that fades mostly. Very good mouthfeel almost a bit to chewy. Yet very enjoyable.

Whiffs of cinnamon on a stouty aroma. Smooth, lightly sweet, not too bitter or roasty. Medium to slightly heavy body. Respectable. On tap, Rick Tanner’s.

A dark brown beer, almost clear, topped by a small, light tan head. The aroma has chocolate and coffee, roasted malts and some hints of prunes. A little touch of licorice in the far back. It’s quite effervescent, dry on the palate and full to medium bodied. Roasted flavor with caramel, coffee and some chocolate. Lasting finish with a tad too much caramel. Anyway, it’s a nice and tasteful beer. 140118
