A reddish amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a sweet nutty and waxy malt, coffee grinds, mash tun. In mouth, a sweet maple malt with light grainy notes, nutty barley suger, not bad. On tap at Volo , Oct. 29 2011. Sammy (12769) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 27, 2009
Volo English cask fest 2009. Another fine offering by Cheshire Valley. Golden yellow colour and lots of lace. An IPA-style bitterness, with some nuttiness. Nice interpretation and works on cask. jercraigs (10886) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 31, 2009
2009-08-29. Crisp orange amber body, small off white head. Fruity citrus in the aroma, touch of sweet marmalade touches. ( 7+) Flavour is pleasant, modest citrusy hops, mild bitterness, muted malt has just a touch of dry graininess at times. ( 6+) Average palate suits it. Pretty decent. I liked the aroma more than the flavour but I liked it enough to go back for seconds. Pleasant. On tap at Beer Bistro

[2477-20090829] Tap sample. Strong strawberry juice and raspberry tarts aroma along with some navel orange flesh and hints of cheesecake toppings. Slightly hazy, medium orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Grainy acidic strawberries flavour has some orange Campino and mango hints. Medium body. Very fragrant, strong flavours, strong fruity characteristics.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 Gave a new batch a try at The Only Cafe. Hazy pale amber pour with a creamy white head. The aroma is softly earthy and hoppy. A lovely UK sort of spicy/earthy bitterness. A nice crackery pale malt base and a fresh-baked sort of flavour. Diacetyl problem has been solved - this is nice and clean with a nice flinty sort of bitterness. Lovely quaffable pint. Solid bitter.
Pale amber pour with a thick creamy head. The aroma is quite laden with
diacetyl and lots of soft earthiness. Malts are kind of sweet and fairly pronounced. Hops are kind of restrained.

Draught at ’2009 Golden Tap Awards’ at beerbistro. Pours a hazy golden-orange with a small fizzy white head. Aroma of grain, hops, fruit and caramel malt. Flavour: Yum, delicious and refreshing with hops, fruit and light spices backed by caramel malt and a nice bitter finish. Average bodied which is good for the style. This is a good version of the style, I really enjoyed it. Radek Kliber (7483) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - OCT 27, 2009
Cask at Volo HogTownHarry (7065) - Toronto (Harbourfront), CANADA - SEP 24, 2009
Appearance: mild haze on amber , mid light creamy top. Low carbonation.
Nose: fresh citric , honey , flowery feel , mild refreshing bitter. 6+
Flavor/Palate : rich , bitter leafy-citric character with light nutty feel of chestnut. Soft , light malty bottom. Proper drinkable ale.
Draught. At 2009 Golden Tap Awards. Slightly hazy light amber with an average frothy off-white head Ɠ+). Pungently floral aroma with a hint of green fruit. Nice, fairly delicate floral bitterness, not as aggressive as in the nose, lightly fruity, with a decent grainy malt backbone. Quite a solid body to it, lively mouthfeel, with a longish bitter finish - very good! presario (4925) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 8, 2012
Pint in a long week at Grey Cup 2012. Hazy dark amber. Light fruitiness in aroma and flavour. Some expected light yeastiness since it is unfiltered. robinvboyer (4754) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 13, 2010
On Tap at Volo.
Aroma of light tropical fruit, and quite a bit of cereal, and hay. Flavor was bitter, and the sweetness was a little too fruity , and kinda threw things off. Not bad, but a little odd.
