Cask at Volo VeloVampire (625) - Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 19, 2010
Appearance: mild haze on amber , mid light creamy top. Low carbonation.
Nose: fresh citric , honey , flowery feel , mild refreshing bitter. 6+
Flavor/Palate : rich , bitter leafy-citric character with light nutty feel of chestnut. Soft , light malty bottom. Proper drinkable ale.
On tap at C’est What - arrives a clear medium gold colour with a good, thick white head that leaves thick lace down the glass. Aroma fresh hops, quite citrusy, with a hint of the sweet malt body to follow. Flavour a wonderful balance of assertive (for a bitter) hops, and sweet honeyish malt. Hop flavour is very lemony. Reminds me somewhat of Black Oak Pale Ale, but with a juicier, more citrusy hop presence. Incredibly moreish. DerWeg (1750) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2010
Clear medium-light amber, creamy white head, great lemony and bitter hop, aroma grassy and sweet, feel long bitter noble hop. pootzboy (1824) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 19, 2011
On tap: puts a lightly hazed amber ale in the glass with a decent 2 finger off white cap that laces well. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of caramel malts, some citrus and piney hops. Tastes much like it smells - caramel sweet malts are balanced off with a spicey/citrus hop mix...light fruity esters....sandy mouth feel….finish is clean with a building bittering from piney hops. A good drinker...lots of flavor but mild and easy to quaff. RayOhm (474) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 29, 2011

Volo English cask fest 2009. Another fine offering by Cheshire Valley. Golden yellow colour and lots of lace. An IPA-style bitterness, with some nuttiness. Nice interpretation and works on cask. DougShoemaker (3146) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 1, 2010

Mild aroma of hops, subtle malt too, light copper, small custard head. Taste is malt and some pit fruit. Light bodied, balanced smooth.Good.
Pint in a long week at Grey Cup 2012. Hazy dark amber. Light fruitiness in aroma and flavour. Some expected light yeastiness since it is unfiltered.
