The description on this got us all excited for a strong Belgian style ale. This may of got us off in direction. We prepared ourselves for Parmesan, but we got Gouda. Prepared for grapefruit but got pomelo. It's not a bad thing though, with a bottle this size subtlety is key.

750ml bottle poured (in several tranches) into a wine tasting glass.
First of this style for me - so rating without comparison. Too dark to be copper - but along those hues far towards brown on the colour scale. Burnished copper? Off white head. Depending upon temperature - all malt/ toffee, once warming up a hint of bread, bannana and at the back some current/dark fruits - very, very subtle.

BOTTLE. Ruby to brown pour with small flat off white head.. Malty nose, banana, bread but all very subtle.. Easy toasted toffee malt body, goes a creamy thick mouth feel, dark fruit & malt kick finish.. Sourced RW Dervock (1339) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 8, 2016
Bottle- pours brown with a small off white head. Aroma is oaky, bit of funk and sweet malt. Taste is sweet up front then developing into a tart dry finish. mcberko (17815) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 21, 2016
On tap at Bridge Road, pours a dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted oak upfront, with and earthiness, and rustic notes. Flavour is earthy, with lots of toasted oak, and even a touch of fruitiness. Really nice stuff. Quite authentic for the style. Very enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours black with a earthy red hue.
Aroma. quite a complex nose, of currant, bubblegum, cinnamon, a general spiciness and caramelized/burnt toffee.
Taste. On entry i get a very malt forward beer, consisting of deep and dark fruit flavours such as cherries, currants and a slight sourness.
Overall. quite a decadent and very hard for me to describe, as ive tested very few of its kind. Hansen (8595) - Assentoft, DENMARK - JUN 13, 2015

750 ml bottle at Print Hall. Pours out a cola brown, darker than expected, and the aroma of pit fruits brings to mind an abbey dubbel. Thin silly beige head, fruity wine-like nose. Taste is cherries, apricots, flowers, meadow, which should improve as the beer warms. Lingering plum sweetness, bubbly effervescence leaves the mouth tingling.
