Bottle at Kaisla. Hazy yellow color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, mango, hops, grass, earthy notes and a bit of peach. Bitter finish with peach, citrus and earthy notes. Very nice saison. Beer5000 (6544) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 13, 2014
750 ml bottle. Close to clear golden body with a medium sized white head. Mild aroma of pale malt, slightly fruity and a bit spicy. Flavor is what I call typical Saison – not easy to describe, not particular dominating in any direction, feels pretty average until you give it some time and get a bit deeper into the experience. Soft pale malt, mild fruitiness, spicy yeast, some pepper, low bitterness. Fine balanced body and medium aftertaste. Nothing extraordinary really, but quite pleasant anyway. Citrus and yeasty aroma. Has sour edge. Let's you think it might be Belgian Blonde then a pinch of bitterness with pepper, even mashed banana.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours an almost clear one, golden in color, and with a lasting, two finger white head. Some curtains. There’s pale malts and piney, peppery hops. Citrus peel too, some banana and a tad too much yeast. It’s dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Medium body. Pale malts, green apples, banana, lemon and a pleasant bitterness. Fruity, lightly bitter finish. Nothing extraordinary going on here, but it’s an honest and nice beer. 131212 Meilby (11517) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 12, 2013

750 ml bottle. Bottled on 04/04/13. Tuulensuu, Tampere, Finland.
Hazy yellow colour with a small white head.
Caramel sweetness, spices, yeast and malt in a delicate aroma.
The flavour is fruity bitterness, yeast and malt. No delicacy. Drinkable but not that great.

Scarily pale, but persistent tight head and haze to cloudiness makes me happy to give it a 3. Wheaty aroma at first, some slight orval funk, banana later. Crisp palate, carbonation quite harsh. Initial retronasals hint at solvents, like a heady weizenbock. But it’s not heavy or sweet. In fact it’s almost thin and light. That’s aided by the wheatiness, which is everywhere in the taste. Nice fatty hops in the finish, nicely bitter tingle. Not a cookie-cutter saison, not the typical wyelabs taste. But that’s because of the wheat, this has way more wheat than the usual cookie cutter saisons brews. Very easy drinker. Alcohol not obvious apart from the inevitable zigzagging of my walk later. Possible underrate - even 3.2 would seem a bit low. However there were minor flaws in each aspect, even though there were positives with each aspect too.
(Bottle, 0.75 l, at Hilpeä Hauki, 2013101) The beer poured pale golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had spices, sourness, pepper and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, spices, Belgian style yeast, malts, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, hoppy and bitter. A tasty saison. Long neck bottle from the brewery. Hazy, light yellow with small white head and some lacing. Grapefruit, malt and funky yeast aromas. Peaches and grapefruit, balanced with a malt backbone, a touch of sourness and good carbonation.
